Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
This summer, I was in Italy to see Bad Bunny on his European tour. Yes, it was phenomenal. He had 80,000 people dancing salsa and singing in Spanish. For me, it was very clear: Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio is proud of his Puerto Rican roots and isn’t afraid to share it. I love it!

Bad Bunny’s brilliance made me reflect on the many other Latino artists who have inspired the world and paved a path for all Latino artists.
So, this Hispanic Heritage Month, I’ve gathered five picture books highlighting Latino artists. Most are shelved as “children’s books,” but don’t be fooled — these books are for everyone. And they’re written and illustrated by Latinos too! No artificial intelligence here! ¡Eso!
